SUBJECT: Electricity Study 6560 Overview and Data Orientation Meeting 7/8/98
Dear Interested Persons:
Work is underway on Electricity Study 6560. We would like to take this opportunity to update you on the attached draft information request form and the July 8 meeting at SeaTac.
We have attached drafts of the general study description and a consolidated information request form. The legislation anticipated that information would need to be data collected from the utilities to complete these studies. We have designed the form to provide the two agencies with the data we need to complete the legislative report, but to avoid overlap or duplication with the data to be reported for the Unbundling Study. These are draft documents. We encourage you to review them and share your comments with us. In particular, we would like your views on the availability of data requested for the reliability section of the study. This section comprises a sizable proportion of the overall information request. We expect that the information request will be finalized soon after the July 8th meeting and distributed to the utilities with a target return date late in August.
The July 8th meeting has been scheduled from 9:30 am 4:30 PM at the Double Tree Hotel at the Seattle airport (formerly the Red Lion Center). The Double Tree has a shuttle service from the airport. It is located at the intersection of 188th and Pacific Highway South. Coffee and tea will be provided. The goal of the morning is to review the study and its timeframes and to discuss the study sections. We will finish with the overview by lunch. The afternoon is focused on the information request form. That is our opportunity to hear your comments and answer your questions regarding the draft information request. We hope that you have a chance to review the attached documents prior to the July 8 meeting. Section leads will be there to answer questions and consider comments. They will not be providing presentations. Some comments we will be able to respond to right then, others we will take under consideration. Everyone will be on his or her own for lunch.
