The Lead-Based Paint Program revised rules, Washington Administrative Code (WAC) 365-230, took effect April 13, 2007. A link to the new rules is located on the Laws and Rules page of this website
Statewide Study of Lead Hazards in Housing The 2005 Legislature commissioned the Washington Department of Community, Trade and Economic Development (CTED) in SHB 6090, Section 127, “to compile a report on housing stock in Washington state to identify areas of potentially high risk for child lead exposure." The Legislature directed CTED to include in this report: 1) An analysis of existing data regarding the ages of housing stock in specific regions; and 2) An analysis of data regarding actual lead poisoning cases, which shall be provided by the Department of Health’s Childhood Lead Poisoning Surveillance program.
