Traditional/Rural Programs

In Yakima, CERB helped finance water and sewer improvements to support expansion of Central Heating & Plumbing, Inc.

Traditional Construction Program
Provides funding assistance to economically disadvantaged communities statewide for public facilities to foster the creation and/or retention of jobs by industry. The Traditional Program requires an eligible private sector business at the time of application. The applicant and business must provide evidence that a private development or expansion is ready to occur and that the private development is contingent upon the approval of CERB funds. Applicants must demonstrate the need for CERB assistance and that no other timely source of funds are available at reasonably similar rates to the current CERB rate.

Rural Construction Program
Provides economic opportunities to rural counties and rural natural resource areas. The Rural Program assists disadvantaged rural communities to fund high priority economic development infrastructure for CERB-eligible prospective economic development projects when feasibility is demonstrated. Tourism development projects may also be supported in rural areas.
