Criminal Justice Substance Abuse Treatment Programs

The Department of Community Trade and Economic Development (CTED) receives funds from the U. S. Department of Justice, Office of Justice Programs, Bureau of Justice Assistance through the Omnibus Crime Control and Safe Streets Act (1968 as amended), to develop or enhance substance abuse treatment programs for offenders.

CTED funds the statewide Residential Substance Abuse Treatment (RSAT) program for incarcerated adult, drug-involved, non-violent offenders. Offenders sentenced to terms in state prison at the Pine Lodge Corrections Facility, a state prison site and county jail programs at the Benton County Jail and, the Thurston County Corrections Center. RSAT programs at the county level also provide supervised treatment for adult drug court participants who failed to complete their court appointed drug abuse treatment programs.
