Home Repair and Rehabilitation

What is the HOME Program?

The HOME program distributes financial assistance to states and local governments. This money is used to help low income individuals and families find and keep affordable housing.

Community, Trade and Economic Development's (CTED) Housing division manages the HOME program. The HOME program receives funding from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). CTED's HOME program serves the non-metropolitan and rural areas that do not receive HOME funds directly from HUD.

Home Repair and Rehabilitation Program (HRRP)

HOME dollars are used with state, private, and federal weatherization funds to perform home repair and rehabilitation. Funding goes to organizations providing weatherization services to low-income residents of single-family homes.

What organizations are eligible?

  • Community Action Agencies
  • Local governments
  • Housing Authorities
