Role of the Policy Board
Required Membership
The policy board is to include representatives of the following groups: Local government, education, law enforcement, treatment, and parents.
An Effective Policy Board
includes the required membership;
has members that understand what is expected from them;
has members that have recieved an orientation;
is given sufficient information, and time to understand the issues before making decisions;
has regularly scheduled meetings that are on time, and directed towards the agenda;
is regularly attended by its members.
